We begin this adventurous trek, from the famed ancient Nepal Kingdom, which is known as Gorkha in the west-north part of Kathmandu. Manaslu Region in west central Nepal was opened to trekkers only in 1991. With its fantastic mountain scenery spanning altitudes from a few hundred meters to over 5000 m and the terrific variety of ecosystems and the Manaslu route is one of the few true adventure tour / trek in our experiences. We start our trek from the ancient King Palace and Kingdom Gorkha. The trail winds up and down precarious slopes and goes all around Manaslu through the Larkya Pass. The trail links up with the eastern sector of the Annapurna Circuit on the return to end at Besisahar or Beganas Tal and Gorkha only for Rupina La Base Camp, from where we drive back to Kathmandu. Baglung pani is a small rural Gurung village, at the top of mid Himalayan ridges over looking magnificent panoramic views of Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Manaslu ranges from here.
